Welcome to the CAD Class Remote Learning Web Site. Due to the present COVID-19 pandemic, we can't be in our classroom/shop. So, I have set up remote learning activities that will help you, the student continue learning about CAD. Below are the activites that you will be engaging in as well as extra things you may find interesting.
Tuesday, April 14, 2020 Activity 1
1. Week 14 & 15 Isometric drawing folder contains two drawings; Iso 1 and Iso 2. Complete Iso 1 with dimensions and email the drawing to Mr. Smith.
All asignments due on Friday at 3 pm.
Tuesday, April 21, 2020 Activity 2
1. Week 14 & 15 Isometric folder contains two drawings; Iso 1 and Iso 2. Set Grid and Snap to Isometric, Set the Pellispe variable to 1. Set the Dimassoc variable to 1. Watch the ISO 2 Isometric Circles video tutorial below.
Complete Iso 2 with dimensions and email the drawing to Mr. Smith.
2. Once you complete both drawings, go to box.com and open the Isometric quiz found in the week 14 & 15 folder, answer the questions, and then submit the quiz.

Tuesday, April 28, 2020 Activity 3
1. First week of 3D CAD. The goal will be to create a key chain using 3D solid modeling techniques and additive manufacturing otherwise known as deposition 3D printing. First, go to the YouTube video below-Introduction to AutoCAD 2020-3D Basics-#1-The 3D1 Drawing, watch the video and create the object in the video. Email the 3D object to Mr. Smith
2. Second, go to the YouTube video below-Introduction to AutoCAD 2020-#d Basics-#2-the 3D2 Drawing, watch the video and create the object in the video. Email the object to Mr. Smith

Tuesday, May 5, 2020 Activity 4
1. Go to box.com and open folder 18, then go to the CAD 2 Final Drawing folder. There are two files. One is the drawing itself and one is the drawing directions. When the final drawing is complete email it to Mr. Smith
2. Second, go to the _N 3D DRAWINGS folder complete the 3D solid model key fob and email to Mr. Smith

Tuesday, May 12, 2020 Activity 5
1. Create a 3D solid model of something in your house. Since most of you did not purchase a computer with the idea of loading AutoCAD, don't make something that is large, this could crash your computer.
2. finish up your ePortfolio using the directions/rubric found in folder 16 & 17. Email Mr. Smith your ePortfolio hyperlink.

You will receive two emails from the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International. Save them both for future reference. One of them will have in the subject line, Login information for your FMA online elearning course! This email will have a hyperlink that will take you to the lgoin window. After loging in, you will be taken to the eFab Learning window. Click on the View Your Current Learning area as seen below.
